About Me

Well I'm a Brit with a penchant for learning and a joy of articulation. That goes for my professional life as a massage therapist and my personal life as a talker. Double entendre!! This is the silliness that I mean and unfortunately that helps makes my world go round.
I can be quite a quick-thinking, witty guy although I do have a tendency to steal my lines from things such as Seinfeld or certain comedic movies: Austin Powers; Jim Carey movies. Occasionally I come up with my own material which is often met with dubious looks of authenticity from my friends. Some of it is mine!
The more I grow the more I learn that making others happy is a good way to make yourself happy. So feel free to do something unselfish for someone else. It's the look on their faces I enjoy. Surprise! Here I am!

Interests

The human body.... and maybe the canine. The arts. Reading. Thinking. Wordplay.

Favorite Movies

I like comedy. I like to think I have a good sense of humour and I steal some of it from comedies! Love Rush Hour and Austin Powers, but quote from numerous sources.

Favorite TV Shows

Well it seems most of my TV viewing is sports: nascar; soccer; hockey et al. I enjoy nature shows, bios and documentaries, but seldom watch any serial shows. Reality TV is definitely out!

Favorite Books

Winding my way back into the classics. Still enjoying H. G. Wells and Jules Verne.

Favorite Quote

I don't have one. Too many significant people have said too many significant things.

My sophomore season on the nascar trip. This year we headed down to Michigan for the long weekend of the cars and the noise, the beer and the boys. The drive wasn't too bad apart from the cross border debacle: Russell handing our passports to the Cross Border Chick from outside the car to the ten foot high trucker's Needless to say he was belligerent.
We had trailers down there on campsites. Shuttle ride to the track. Nine anglophones and three francophones. I knew we were outnumbered. There were a couple rookies who would yet reap the wrath of the seniors.
Friday night was usual drunkfest watching the DVD made from the year prior. I won't tell you what my nickname was, but it was quite lewd and certainly not warranted ;) Fun to remember... or sort of remember.
Saturday we went to the track to get our "track gear." I opted to go with Kasey Kahne this year and thus bought the perennial beer cozy. We happened to see Kahne, Joe Nemechek and Martin Truex Jr which was sorta fun. Back to the trailers for an afternoon bout of drinking and washers. Mark and I proved to be too tough for the competition racking up a sparkling 10-2 record. After much haggling and whining we managed to gain the title of Undisputed Washers Champions! This time warranted!
Sunday: race day. The heart pumps and the adrenalin rushes. Beer coolers are stuffed. Took the shuttle and found our seats right on turn 3. Gold! It was a gorgeous sunny day. Everyone went through the pomp and circumstance befitting an American sporting event. God Bless America!
The race was the race: exciting; belligerent; loud; crude. For the second year in a row my driver almost won me the pool, but Donald ended up coming away with it on a win by Matt Kenseth. Damn him! Think Kahne was third.
Back to the trailers for you got it more washers and drinking. The rookies got Christened with showers of empty cooler water. That's gotta be yummy. One got a little more than that but we won't go into that here.
Another fantastic year with the boys at the track. When do we go next??

Yeah now THAT'S more like it - I mean, I only ever hear: "Yeah the concert was great, we drank a lot, smoked a lot, and sang a lot" ...so this at least helps me keep up ;-)

Miss you lots, have a fabulous time in BC baby!!! Go West!!!!

PS: As an aside to this message, the "security box" with letters in it at the bottom of this comment form spelled "pymp my". Thought that was rather comical :-D

What to say about Ryan, Ry, O Hayes, Riffle, Purple, Cap'n Biology, RMH? I've known Ry for - ever! Well, known in existence for almost 20 years now. I'm pleased to say I've called him my friend for just about 7 years!!

He's one of the funniest people on earth - if you don't believe me, just ask him! He'll maybe even dish out some of his own material!

He's a sweetheart of a brit with a heart of gold(member). He's the best son in the universe. He's been there for me through so many things and I hope to have him in my life in some capacity for ever.

His hair is the bomb and he finally wears pants that don't taper!!! Loving it!!

love your friend,
NBS, Bif, Ris, Princess
